Introduction
This privacy policy applies to the Zeno app and the zenoquiz.com website, operated by Bilge Arkadaş Eğitim Bilişim Hizmetleri İthalat ve İhracat Ticaret Sanayi Limited Şirketi ("we", "us"). By using Zeno, you agree to this policy.
Data We Collect
When you create an account: your email address, display name, username, password (stored as a one-way hash) and an optional profile photo. While using the app: the questions you have solved, whether your answers were correct, your XP, level, favorite categories, and daily task progress. Technically: your language preference, session cookies, and your IP address in standard server logs.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to: manage your account and session, provide leaderboard and profile features, calculate your XP/level progress, remember your language preference, and protect the app against abuse. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties for advertising purposes.
Sharing With Third Parties
We use an AI service (OpenAI) to generate the quiz questions in our question bank -- no personal data is sent to this service, only general category/topic information used for question generation. Our app is hosted on DreamHost, which may have technical access to data as part of hosting the server infrastructure but does not use it for its own purposes. We do not share your data with any other third party unless required by law.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in (session cookie), remember your language choice, and avoid showing the onboarding screen again. These cookies are not used for advertising or tracking.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all your data at any time: from within the app via Settings > Delete My Account, or, if you can't access your account, by submitting a request at zenoquiz.com/request-deletion. Deletion is irreversible and permanently removes all your data (including answer history, XP, notifications, and favorites).
Your Rights (GDPR / KVKK)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, request deletion of, and object to the processing of your data (under the EU GDPR and/or Turkish Law No. 6698 on Personal Data Protection, KVKK). You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below.
Children's Privacy
Zeno is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children in this age group. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and connections are encrypted with HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date on this page when we make significant changes.
